Back to School Schedule Craft - Manga Frames! Craft Inspiration from Meg - Credits: Have you seen the cool MagnaFrames in the store? There are so many ways you can arrange them, it took me a while to decide!
Between my two kids we have three schools and a couple of afterschool activities this year, so life is a tad on the crazy side. SO, I decided to make a little desk schedule to help me keep track. I did a mini layout for each school day with all the various times I need to be taking someone somewhere.
These frames are double sided (and I didn't use one of them) so I have lots more room to play and rearrange! I'm thinking my grandma needs one of these, too, for pictures of all her great-grandkids...hmmm, Christmas present anyone?

Back to School Memories
Back to school. What memories do those words provoke for you? A special outfit, thoughts of seeing friends again, maybe even new school jitters are a part of those thoughts. Think for a minute - then go and jot down some memories!
Things today are so different, yet the same. There are schedules to meet, new clothes and supplies to buy, and constant change. Our babies are growing up and we can preserve some of the precious memories with photos and journaling. Layouts that compare years or even generations are a terrific addition to family albums, as are pages devoted to a single day or incident.

DSP designers have designed kits for a new School Days CD that will help you to create albums that preserve special occasions. Now is a great time to begin thinking of holiday gifts, and school activities are a wonderful theme for your albums. Scrapbooking is a fantastic way to revisit our own memories, as well.
Write about a backpack and the variety of items it will carry to and from school in a year. Write about friends, teachers, and classes. Older children will have extra activities in music and sports; be sure to capture some photos and some of their thoughts. Then go through your photos and memories and create some layouts for your "Book of Me" that capture some of the thoughts you hadn't visited in years.
Do you remember a particular teacher? Were your chalk boards blackboards or green? Visit with your children or grandchildren - nieces or nephews - about their school activities and emotions. It's good for them to understand that you care enough to ask, and their answers will help you when adding layouts to their albums. The DSP gallery is a great place to find ideas, as well as share your own. Be sure to comment on layouts that have impressed you.
